Kendall is located near the southeast end
of the trail on State Hwy. 71 just 3 miles from tunnel no. 1.
The Department of Natural Resources restored the Kendall
Train Depot - the Headquarters and Concession Center for the trail. The Depot Building is
listed in the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places by The State Historical Society
of Wisconsin. Kendall has been the home of the Elroy-Sparta State Trail since 1965.

The village was originally named Kendalls
The village maintains a park with restrooms. playground
equipment, two shelters and picnic tables. Kendall has a motel, bed and breakfasts, a convenience store, gas station, churches and a guest house nearby.
There are many community
activities such as Kendall Mustangs Baseball plus a Labor Day Weekend Celebration.
